LLB's iPod was stolen out of her purse at school the other day. The one she bought with her own babysitting money... yeah... that one.
I am annoyed that someone would go into her purse and take it - they did leave the earphones, though... how considerate of them.
Before you all jump all over me for allowing her to bring her iPod to school - She had it at school because she is learning a marimba part (a marimba is like a xylophone) and the percussion teacher told the kids to listen to the piece while they play their part. I don't happen to have a $30k marimba at home, so the only place she can practice is at school...
I told her to ask the band teacher if he found it and to go to the office to see if maybe just maybe someone turned it in... (It's not the most wonderful iPod out there, you know?) She doesn't want to go to the office to ask because she's afraid she'll get in trouble for having it at school... I told her to tell them why she had it at school and if they give her grief, to let me know. I'll handle the office. So much for trying to be a good music student...
I hope it turns up...
But I'm not holding my breath.

I hope she does report it. It does not matter that she had it there, the fact is that someone went into her purse and took her belonging!
grr!
oh a friend of mine's son had his camera and ipod stolen from his car. He went on Craigslist the following day and found HIS stuff for sale there. He reported the craigslist ad to the police so they could catch the crook.
note they had the exact description of his stuff including the scratches and missing parts.
