I was recently seated listening to a speech of sorts and it dawned on me that the person giving the speech was not prepared to give it.
As I sat there, I thought to myself, "This person has no clue what he is saying or where his train of thought is. He is talking in circles and he's making me dizzy. I wish he'd just shut up."
Since this was a 4th of July type thing, I thought maybe patriotism and/or freedom might be mentioned once. Umm... no. Nothing like that.
How sad that on such an important day, the speech maker was unprepared. It shouldn't matter if there are 2 people in the audience or 150... if you are giving a speech, you need to be prepared.
What do you think?

most definitely!
I know the best speeches that I've ever had to give were the ones that I was prepared for...the worst were no prep.
the very worst was my pastor asked me to say something about the coat drive, gave me about 10 min to come up with something and then as he is introducing me says exactly what I was planning to say about the drive!!! ugh!
