What Not to Wear

I live in the middle of nowhere. I have very few window treatments. As you drive up the driveway, if you were to look into the family room windows, you can see me typing away at my computer. I am exposed to the world - so to speak. I was sitting at my computer yesterday morning - it must have been about 6:45. I was wearing my pajamas - a t-shirt and my skivvies. Suddenly I heard some tapping on the walls in the addition. "OMG!", I thought... "People are here working!! I am not dressed!" Needless to say, I booked it to the privacy of my master suite and got showered and dressed.

This morning - Saturday 6:45am - I was sitting at my computer in basically the same outfit. I was just wondering if anyone would show up to work here today... And, yes, once again... I heard some tapping. I'm certainly getting my early morning run in - up the stairs to change!! I figure I've got three choices a) get dressed before I come down in the morning, b) get some window treatments or c) charge a fee to everyone who comes up the driveway before 7:30am. I'm thinking the fee will be far more lucrative...

Charge the fee-- no pounding visitors should ever be allowed before 8am.

Yes I have to agree with frog legs..No one should be allowed before 8 or even maybe 9 a. especially on Saturday morning!! They would not be charged to see me...I supposed I would have to pay!! ha!!! Here we have to keep things locked in order to not have people break in and take things!! So sad!!

It's it sad when you can't even be comfy in your own home?

I have a story about that... we were having an addition built that was started while we were away on vacation. We came back at midnight, dumped our suitcases in the middle of the living room and went to bed. When I awoke the next morning (early) I showered and then ran in my birthday suit to the living room to riffle through the suitcases for clothes...drum roll please... I'm bent over looking thru a case when I hear a noise behind me and turn just as a worker was coming up the stairs from the cellar - he sure backed up quickly! Oh lordy...I still blush thinking about it!

Or... You could get some cute pajamas. There's a reason it is called pajama media...
And if anyone comes that early, be prepared to just be in pjs.

Cheers.

Ah, the joy of having people work on your house.

I bet they've seen it all, though.

Oh yes, you definitely have to charge a fee! I think I'll have to nominate you to be on "What Not to Wear" but you have to share the $5K clothes budget with ME!
