Good - Our taxes are done.
Good - We are getting a refund.
Bad - #1 couldn't find his saxophone this morning.
Bad - We tore the house apart - no sax.
Bad - A new sax would cost me close to $2k. Bye bye refund...
Good - It was in the band room. Hello refund!
Did #1 heave a sigh of relief? Oh my gracious, Yes - he could see hours and hours of yard work working off the cost of a new sax in his future. It's not a very pretty picture... I'm sure seeing that sax sitting on the band room shelf swathed in a gold halo was a sight to behold...
Did Mr. and I heave a collective sigh of relief when he found said sax in the band room? Ummm.... YES. Our dreams of new clear, energy efficient, draft free, ladybug free windows that tilt and are easy to clean were almost dashed...

Oooo. I'm afraid I would have been saying "Ooops. No more Sax!" I guess I haven't had to face this problem though... it's REALLY hard to misplace Drums! LOL! I'm SO glad the sax WAS found! I can imagine that EVERYone WAS breathing a sigh of relief!
A sax costs as much as new windows. That just does not sound right to me.
Speaking of windows-- still busy painting all of the windows at my new place. *insert huge cheesy grin here*
Whew! $2000? Dang!! Glad he found it!
No $2k doesn't cover the windows, but it helps... especially when we need them sooner rather than later.. We probably won't be getting them until this time next year anyway...
#1 has left his sax in the family room, but has never ever forgotten it at school or anywhere else. I was not happy that it got left somewhere, but his record is pretty darned good - it's better than mine (just take a look at my library fines!!)

That hit a little too close to home for me, my son plays sax too. I'm glad the sax turned up.
