I think it's about time...
1. Did you date someone from your high school? No... I was friend, not girl friend, material.
2. Did you marry someone from your high school? No.
3. Did you car pool to School? No. Dad gave me a ride or I walked - up hill both ways... in the snow...
4. What kind of car did you have? I got to borrow Dad's station wagon if I was lucky.
5. It is Friday night then; where are you? Babysitting next door.
6. It is Friday night now, where are you? If I'm not at a swim meet or a football game, I'm hopefully home.
8. What kind of job did you have in high school? Front desk at Dr. Soper's office and lifeguard.

10. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? I was in band. I was the Band President. :-)

She missed her brother the most. She had an absolutely fabulous time. Will she go back? You bet! She'd like to go back with #1 on Thursday. She's pretty funny! She played her trumpet during the performance - one note - an F#. That's all there was, so that's all she played. She and HP are still friends - better than ever, I'd say. (I guess if they can put up with each other's foibles for 9 whole days, they are really really good friends.)

1. I turned off my heat in January because my electric bill was too high in December. We are now heating our downstairs with wood and you know what? It's actually warmer than when we had the woodstove and the heat going. If I'm going to be gone all day, I will turn the heat on so that the house doesn't get too cold. Although... I've been home most of the day since I turned the heat off. LOL!!
2. I am currently 8 months behind on my scrapbooking. I need to get my friends together and just scrap for a day. Wanna come?
3. I would love to be on "What Not To Wear"! OMG! If they came to my house and told me I had to throw out my whole wardrobe and start over, I so would! I'd only have a hard time getting rid of my tennies. I don't like real shoes. They are all uncomfortable!
4. Our bedroom is vintage 1980. When I finish the trim in LLB's room and #1's room, I can start on ours. I'm not allowed to even think about our room until those other two are done. LLB has chair rail and baseboard trim left. #1 has closet doors and baseboard trim left. I hate trim... can you tell?
5. I don't like chocolate candy. I like cookies and cakes, but a lump of chocolate does nothing for me.
6. I would love to take a photography class. I always wanted to take photography in high school, but I ended up with French and Latin. Then, in college, I ended up taking a computer class that turned out to be a typing class. That was just stupid! I got a C because I typed slow. I think I could have done better in a photography class with the little to no artistic ability I have.
7. People think I'm outgoing, but I'm actually just an opinionated shy person.

1. I turned off my heat in January because my electric bill was too high in December. We are now heating our downstairs with wood and you know what? It's actually warmer than when we had the woodstove and the heat going. If I'm going to be gone all day, I will turn the heat on so that the house doesn't get too cold. Although... I've been home most of the day since I turned the heat off. LOL!!
2. I am currently 8 months behind on my scrapbooking. I need to get my friends together and just scrap for a day. Wanna come?
3. I would love to be on "What Not To Wear"! OMG! If they came to my house and told me I had to throw out my whole wardrobe and start over, I so would! I'd only have a hard time getting rid of my tennies. I don't like real shoes. They are all uncomfortable!

Christmas Meme #2
It's been a busy couple of days around here and today we have no school because we have a whopping inch of snow on the ground. Thus my plans for a little present wrapping, a little cookie making, and a lot of laundry have been postponed. Since I hope to get some of my chores done before I go to bells and then out with the girls, I decided to post this meme I found over at Susan's.
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Whatever is easiest at the time. Honestly, it depends on the recipient, the size of the present, and what I have available.
2. Real tree or artificial? Fake - O.
3. When do you put up the tree? If we aren't cooking, Thanksgiving Day -- otherwise the day after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? January 6th - Epiphany
5. Do you like eggnog? Ummmm YES!!!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Snoopy -- and yes, I still have him. He resides in my hope chest.

Opening my stocking with my little sister before the parents got up. We used to sit on one of our beds and open the stockings together. We would whisper and compare and just have a wonderful time. I hope we can do that this year...

Santa is always good to me.

Okay, let's get this straight. Presents get opened on Christmas day in pajamas. There is no going out for coffee. There is no opening presents at midnight. There are no showers to be had until every last gift is open. Got it?! Good!

Shopping with my mom on Black Friday. When the kids were little, we were always out for a specific toy. Now we are out for the bargain!!
8. Describe one of your Christmas trips. [whether it's across town or across country]
We try not to go anywhere at Christmas. We keep the children home.
9. Do you have a special Christmas outfit to wear for the day?
Ummm... do pajamas count?
10. Have YOU or any of your family members sat on Santa's lap?
Of course!!! I've even seen the big guy... Yup. That makes me wicked special.
11. What is/or will be on your Christmas tree this year?
All my special ornaments - and hopefully NOT a kitten. (I was going to post a picture, but booger won't let me.)
12. Do you/or have you decorated your yard for Christmas?
No. I'm a minimalist. We put candles in the windows and the little trees with white lights by the door, but that's it.

Marriage Me Me
I've had this wedding meme set aside for quite some time. I could wait for our anniversary, but I just know I'll forget to post it. So - here it is:
1. Where/how did you meet? At a softball game. He was on the bench waiting for his turn and I came to watch the guys in my office.
2. How long have you known each other? We met in May of 1987
3. How long after you met did you start dating? 6 months or so. My office mates weren't thrilled when we started dating as they believed it was like Snow White meets Darth Vader. Alas, they knew not of what they spoke.
4. How long did you date before you were engaged? Just over a year. We got engaged at Christmas. My ring was in the toe of my stocking.
5. How long was your engagement? A year
6. How long have you been married? It will be 18 years in December
7. What is your anniversary? 12-9-1989
8. How many people came to your wedding reception? 80 Nice and small.
9. What kind of cake did you serve? Carrot with butter cream frosting
10. Where was your wedding? Wilmington Congregational Church for the ceremony and The Andover Inn for the reception
11. What did you serve for your meal? Lots and lots of hors D'euvres and a carving station
12. How many people were in your wedding party? My sister, my friend Jen, Mr.'s Dad and brothers
13. Are you still friends with them all? Yes
14. Did your spouse cry during the ceremony? Yes
15. Most special moment of your wedding day? I have a couple. It snowed just a few snowflakes as I walked into the church. I look at that as my blessing from above. Peeking into the church with my dad to see everyone. Watching Mr.'s face as I walked up the aisle.
16. Any funny moments? Mr.'s ring wouldn't go on his finger!! LOL!!
17. Any big disasters? Our organist backed out the day before. I called an old friend of the family and she bailed us out. I told her she could play whatever she wanted.
18. Where did you go on your honeymoon? Stowe, Vermont - the coldest week of the year. Too cold to ski.
19. How long were you gone? A week
20. If you were to do your wedding over, what would you change? Working heat in the condo at Stowe. The heat wasn't working - at all - and it was the coldest week they'd ever had up there. Yup - about Tuesday, I asked to go home to our nice warm house in MA. We got moved to a different condo with heat. :-)
21. What side of the bed do you sleep on? Left
22. What size is your bed? Queen
23. Greatest strength as a couple? Together we can do anything
24. Greatest challenge as a couple? Ummm... I dunno
25. Who literally pays the bills? Me.

30. Are your wedding bands engraved? No. Mine cost exactly $22 at Service Merchandise. His cost $50 because it was a little wider. :-) Yes, we always were pretty cheap!
31. How old were you when you got married? I was 25. He was 36. I'd do it all over again. Actually we renewed our vows when we'd been married 10 years. We will probably renew at 20, too!
