Plans?

The question I keep getting is this:

So, what are you doing on the 4th?

Well, to be perfectly honest... I dunno.

One of my friends is going to DC for the night. Another is going to the equine center to see the fire works. Yet another is at the beach...

You got anything exciting going on?

We have never once in our whole existence as a family made PLANS for the 4th of July. But we have never NOT had fun! We usually get up that morning and decide which direction to go - based on who's heard what about which parade and fireworks happenings! Of course, it's always much BETTER if the 4th falls on a weekend! This Wednesday stuff is for the birds! DC does do the BEST fireworks - but you pay so dreadfully for it with traffic! (even on the metro!) I have no idea what we'll be up to on Wednesday! I'll just be HAPPY to have the day OFF!!!

Well that's a loaded question. Okay since I'm in the country that the US is celebrating Independence from you can guess that the 4th here will be like any other day. LOL My husband works on a military base though and we had a huge celebration today. It poured down rain but we went and got soaked and ate fair food and all was good. On the actual 4th we'll send the kids to school and hang out just the two of us - go to lunch or something fun.

The 4th of what? December? I imagine I will be driving around watching the fools try to get repair service for their iPhone.

We used to do an annual parade in our former town. There isn't one here. Now, we will be at the "River" scalloping. Last year, we drove into a nearby city and found that there were fireworks going off all up and down the main drag. (We called them "RedNeck Fireworks"....and it was great fun just seeing what we could find.) I'm guessing this year will be similar.

Have fun whatever you decide to do.

Fireworks in your neck of the woods are a good part homespun, aren't they?

We have a favorite town that we go to, been going there for 10 years. :)

Hope you're having a good weekend!

My hubby doesn't get many holidays off and we're all pretty exhausted lately...so, I think we'll sit around staring at each other for the simple fact that we can.
Enjoy your day!
