The Big Game

Last night was #1's first football game with the high school marching band.

He asked me to chaperone - which I did. The rest of the family joined us for the game.

I took a gazillion pictures - I have yet to go through them. He actually LET me take a million pictures of him. (This is huge, people!!)

He was totally psyched!!
He loves the uniform.
He loves the camaraderie.
He loves the music making.
Most of all, he loves performing in front of a crowd.

He came off the field at half time and I asked him if he had a good time.

"Mom, this is the best! I love this! I NEED to be drum major!"

This boy - he knows what he wants and where he's headed...

I agree this is such a great experience for them! It's one that my boys haven't really done...and that makes me sad. Oh well, they each have to find their niche.

Have a great weekend.
