1. Auntie gave Mr. a chicken head for Christmas. 2. I think it may have been one of his favorite gifts. 3. The chicken head is made of ceramic. 4. You are supposed to use it to stop up your chicken neck hole when you make beer can chicken. 5. The head keeps the beer steam inside the chicken. 6. That way the flavor permeates the chicken better... or so they say... 7. We had beer can chicken last night. 8. Mr. used is new chicken head. 9. It really was cute. 10. The chicken was delicious! 11. Mr. thinks the head made the chicken taste even better. 12. It certainly was tender and juicy. 13. I took this picture about half way through the cooking time. I love it! And I want one. I haven't done beer can chicken yet, I'm afraid of explosions in my oven. But if I had one of those heads, I'd risk it. LOL
