We have a two hour delay today... The kids will get to school in time to eat lunch. At least they don't have to make today up in June. You gotta look at the bright side...
So yesterday I made myself busy. I tackled the mountain of laundry and got it down to a veritable hill. I am pretty impressed with myself. I also put a ton of things away, organized my closet a little bit, and got the children to pick up their rooms. Today I'm going to finish up the laundry, vaccuum my house, get some firewood in, clean out the woodstove, and put the last few Christmas items away.
Last night at about 7:30 I asked LLB if she had her English paper done. She has a huge research paper about golden lion tamarins due in a week or so. (Yes, I know I had all day to ask her that question, but I didn't think about it.) She did have most of it written. When she finished writing, I asked her if it was supposed to be typed. She nodded. She's not the fastest typist in the land, so she read and I typed. At 9:30 we pushed print. The paper is done. She stuck the pictures in and I bound it with my new binding machine. All I know is it is done, she's turning it in today, and we don't have to worry about it any more.
I'd best get my chores going!

Hmm, maybe you better post her paper - I have no idea what a tamarin is...bird?
Super Mom! I had a day like that yesterday (had dinner cooked by 9:30 am!) and I'm still recovering today! whats a binding machine?
Don't you LOVE doing all those grades over again? I always tell my kids when it's all said and done, I will have done all 13 grades 5 times!!!!
Glad to know you got so much done...
Have a great night.
:-) Susan
We all did these grades over again. I did all of this like you did when my kids were growing up but just think of the conveniences you have now that we did not have..computers, spell checks, binding machines...all at home!! I had to type on a machine that had to be erased by hand when I made a mistake, had to use a dictionary when I did not know how to spell a word. Man, you moms have it easy now!! Sandy
My son is studying for a huge math test tomorrow. On the last test he got two problems out of ten wrong because he transcribed the problem incorrectly. his answers were right for the problems he wrote down though.
Laundry is the bane of my existance. I just got the last of the christmas stuff put away on sunday. Only 10 months till we get it back out.
Yay for you being so productive! I need to work on my laundry too...I've also gotta finish putting away my Christmas stuff...kinda wishing I could leave it out all year...except for the chair in my dining room because it doesn't fit. LOL!
